About this busby gift
Busby is a small town in Scotland and also a surname, and the most likely person on the receiving end of this gift is a Busby by name, or someone who grew up in the place and carries it everywhere they go. Busby sits near the M77 and Glasgow's southern edge, and people from there tend to hold onto the name the way they hold onto a family accent. Because the name is less common than Smith or Brown, a shirt or mug that says Busby often starts a conversation. For the recipient who has moved away, a Busby design is a quiet reminder of home. For a relative, it's a way to say you know where they come from. Add a second line for a street, a year they were born, or the family they belong to, and the gift stops being a place name and becomes theirs.
