About this canastota gift
Canastota is a village in Madison County, New York, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. Some of them stayed close to the canal and the old downtown; others left for school or work and still talk about the place like a home team. A Canastota shirt is how they say where they're from without a long explanation, whether they're wearing it to a reunion, a visit back, or just a Saturday errand. If you're buying for someone who moved away, a mug or hoodie with the village name is the kind of gift that makes them smile first and think about home second. For someone still living there, the shirt is a quiet way of saying you know exactly where they belong. Put the village name as the main word and use the second line for a graduation year, a class, or a family name if that fits the person you're shopping for.
