About this cerro gordo gift
Cerro Gordo is a small place, and the people who call it home usually know each other by face, which makes a shirt with the town name feel like a private joke with the whole community. It's the sort of place people leave for school or work and then keep coming back to for holidays, family visits and summer weekends. A Cerro Gordo shirt is how someone who grew up there wears it on the road, and how a newcomer shows they've taken the place to heart. Because the town is small, a personal detail carries a lot of weight: a street, a graduation year, the name of the family who's been there for generations. Add one of those to the second line and the design stops being a generic town shirt and becomes something only the people who know the place will fully recognize.
