About this chalmette gift
Chalmette sits in St. Bernard Parish, just southeast of New Orleans, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A Chalmette shirt is how they show their parish pride at a reunion, a Saints game, or a visit home that starts at the Chalmette Battlefield and ends at a po-boy shop. It's a community where people know each other, so a shirt with the town name and a second line for a school, a street or a graduation year reads as personal rather than like a souvenir. For someone who moved away after high school, a mug with Chalmette on it is the reminder of where their stories start. For a parent or grandparent who's stayed put, a hoodie is the warm, everyday way to say they're proud of where they're from. Look through the designs and pick the one that matches how they talk about home.
