About this day gift
Day is a short surname with a long reach. It's on family trees across the US, and it turns up in hometowns and on family-reunion invitations for people who've spent decades answering the phone with their last name. A shirt that says Day is the easy way to get a whole branch of relatives into one photo, and it's the kind of thing people keep for years after the picnic. The same name works for a new baby, where a Day onesie is a quiet way to claim the kid for the family before anyone else does. For a Day who's always heard the joke about being a late sleeper or the one who says it's a beautiful day, a mug or hoodie leans into the pun without pushing it too far. Add a year, a hometown, or a first name on a second line and the design stops being generic and starts being theirs.
