About this demarest gift
Demarest is a small borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, and the people who live there tend to take real pride in a place that still feels like a town. A shirt with the name is how a Demarest resident says where they're from, whether they're grabbing coffee on Main Street or wearing it three states away. Because the name is specific, a shirt with it reads as a conversation starter, the kind of thing a neighbor or a stranger from the same area will notice and ask about. For someone who grew up there and moved away, a mug or hoodie carries a little bit of home. For a family that's just settled into the town, it's a way of saying they belong. Add a second line with a street, a school year or a family name and the design stops being a souvenir and becomes theirs.
