About this gilbert gift
Gilbert is one of those names that carries a bit of history without trying. It's a first name that feels a generation or two older than the people wearing it now, which is part of the charm, and it's also a last name and the name of a town, so a Gilbert shirt can mean a few different things depending on who's opening the box. If you're shopping for someone named Gilbert, put the name in big and let the second line do the work: a nickname like Gil, a birth year, or a title like Dad or Grandpa. For a family with a Gilbert in it, a mug in the kitchen or a tee for the reunion photo goes over well. For a new baby named after a grandfather, a onesie with the full name tells the whole family who got the honor. Type the name, watch the preview update, and adjust until it looks like him.
All gilbert gifts →- A tee with the nickname underneathPut Gilbert up top and Gil, Gibby or a title like Papa on the second line. It's the version friends and family will actually say out loud.
- A onesie for a baby named after a grandfatherPrint the full name on a baby onesie, then add the grandfather's initial or a birth year. It makes a good gift for the grandparents to open.
- A hoodie for a milestone birthdayAdd the year they were born or the age they're turning to a hoodie. It's an easy way to mark 40, 50 or 60 without another card.
- A mug for his desk or workbenchAn 11 oz mug with Gilbert on it settles the question of whose coffee is whose, at the office or in a shared garage.
