Jacumba Athletic Dept. mug

About this jacumba gift

Jacumba is a small desert community in eastern San Diego County, close to the Mexican border and the Jacumba Mountains, a place with a lot of sun, open sky and quiet. People who call it home are often the kind who like space and don't mind a long drive to the nearest grocery store. A shirt with Jacumba on it says they're from somewhere specific rather than from the general San Diego area, and that's the part they'll appreciate. Because it's a small place, the word itself is the whole joke and the whole pride. Add a second line for their street, a year they moved there, or a nickname the locals use, and the design stops being a souvenir and becomes theirs. A mug works well for the early-morning desert coffee, and a hoodie suits the cool nights, which can drop quickly once the sun goes down.
