About this lafayette gift
Lafayette is a city people leave and then keep coming back to, whether that's for a Mardi Gras weekend, a reunion at the old high school, or a plate of boudin that nothing else quite matches. A shirt that says Lafayette is how someone carries that pride with them, whether they still live down the road or have been gone for years. The place name does most of the work, but a second line makes it theirs: a neighborhood, a graduating class, or the year they moved away. For someone who's returned after a long time, a hoodie or mug with their hometown on it says you noticed where they came from. For a parent or grandparent, a baby onesie with the city name is a quiet way of starting a family tradition before the kid can even talk.
