About this leith gift
Leith is a port district on the Firth of Forth, next to Edinburgh, with a long working history of docks, breweries and warehouses that has turned into a neighborhood of shops, restaurants and waterfront walks. People from Leith tend to be proud of it, and a gift that names the place lands well with anyone who grew up there or still goes back for a Sunday walk along the water. Because Leith is a place name that many people outside Scotland won't recognize, a shirt or mug with just the word can read as a little mysterious, which is part of the fun. Add a second line with a year, a street or a nickname and it becomes personal. For someone who moved away, a Leith mug on the desk is a small daily reminder of home.
