About this marked tree gift
Marked Tree is a small city in northeastern Arkansas, and the people who call it home tend to hold on to it tightly, whether they still live there or have moved on to bigger places. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a family reunion, a school event or a visit back for the holidays. Because the name is distinctive, it works well as a conversation starter for anyone who has never heard of it and wants to know why it's printed on a shirt. For the person who grew up there, the design says where they're from in a way a generic hometown tee never could. For someone who has relocated, a mug or hoodie carries a little piece of home into a new kitchen or a cold winter. Adding a graduation year, a class or a family name on the second line turns a simple town shirt into something personal.
