About this monaca gift
Monaca is a small borough in western Pennsylvania, on the Ohio River in Beaver County. People who grew up there tend to stay attached to it, whether they still live down the road or have moved across the country. A Monaca shirt is how they say where they're from, at a reunion, a high school game day, or just on a regular weekend in a city that most of the country has never heard of. Because it's a small place, a design with the town name plus a year or a street or a class can mean more than a generic souvenir. For someone who has left, a Monaca mug is a quiet reminder of home every morning. Start with the town name, then add something only their people would recognize, like a graduation year or a family nickname, and the gift starts to feel like theirs.
