About this newhope gift
Newhope is a small place, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them, whether they still live down the road or have moved across the country. A Newhope shirt is how they tell a stranger where they're from, and how they recognize each other at a family reunion or a high school class gathering. Because the name suggests a fresh start, it also fits someone who has just moved back, started a new job there, or is building something new in town. Write the town name plainly and add a second line for the year they were born, the year they moved, or the school class they graduated with. For a hometown gift, a mug or a hoodie with that line on it tends to get used more than a souvenir would, since it becomes part of the everyday wardrobe and the morning coffee routine.
