About this okemos gift
Okemos is a village in Ingham County, Michigan, just east of Lansing, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. Okemos is a place of tree-lined streets and neighborhood high school pride, where families stay for years and grads come back for homecoming. A shirt that says Okemos is how someone signals where they're from, whether they still live there, moved to Chicago for work, or are home visiting parents for the holidays. Think about what the person does with their days: maybe a morning run past the Meridian Township trails, a coffee on the way to work, a Saturday at a local game. A hoodie suits the cold Michigan months, a mug suits the kitchen table, and a tee suits the summer. Add a second line with a graduation year or a street name for something that feels personal, not like a souvenir.
