About this palmetto gift
Palmetto is the nickname people use for South Carolina, after the state tree and the palmetto that shows up on its flag and seal. A Palmetto shirt is how someone who grew up there, or still lives there, tells a stranger where they're from. It's the shirt for the Lowcountry beach weekend, the drive home for the holidays, or the friend who left for a job in another state and still talks about shrimp and grits. Because the name is tied to the state's identity rather than one town, it works for almost anyone from South Carolina. A hoodie suits the cooler months, a dark tee suits a summer cookout, and a mug fits the kitchen of the person who misses home. Add a second line with their town, their college or the year they moved away to make it feel like theirs.
