About this pennington gap gift
Pennington Gap is a small town in Lee County, Virginia, tucked into the mountains of the far southwestern corner of the state. People who grew up there tend to carry it with them, whether they still live nearby or ended up in a city hours away. A shirt with the town name is the kind of thing they'll wear to a hometown homecoming, a county fair or just a long drive back through the hills. Because it's a small place, the people who know it will notice the detail, and that makes a personal touch land well. Add the year they graduated, a class name, or the name of their street or church in the second line so it reads as theirs. For someone who moved away, a mug with the town name is a daily reminder of where they came from. Mountain towns like this one can be quiet, so a gift that says you remember where they're from often means more than something bought in a big-city store.
