About this poplar gift
Poplar is a place name, and the word can point to a few different spots: Poplar Bluff in Missouri, Poplar Street in a handful of towns, or the Poplar neighborhood in another city. If you're not sure which one the person means, ask before you order. A Poplar shirt is a quiet way to say where someone is from, the kind of thing a hometown person wears to a reunion or a homecoming game. Put the town name as the main word, then add a line with the street, the year they left, or the county underneath. Hoodies suit the cold-weather versions of home, and mugs work for the person who moved away and still starts the day with coffee in a place they grew up in. Kids tees and baby onesies are a sweet way to pass the name down to the next generation.
