About this roosevelt gift
Roosevelt is a name that shows up on a lot of maps, from the Roosevelt Island in New York City to the small towns named for the president across several states. Anyone from a place called Roosevelt has probably spent years explaining that no, it's not the same as the Roosevelt in the history books, or yes, it is named for him, depending on the town. A shirt with Roosevelt on it is a quick way to claim that hometown pride. Add the state or the year the town was founded, and it becomes a real local souvenir rather than a generic tee. It also works for anyone who has moved away and still wears their hometown on their sleeve. For a Roosevelt transplant, a mug with the name is the everyday reminder of where they come from.
