About this rousseau gift
Rousseau is a French surname, and it's also the name of a town in Quebec and a French painter, Henri Rousseau, who painted jungle scenes without ever going to a jungle. The word can mean a family name, a place, or both, so a shopper should first decide which one the recipient would recognize. If the gift is for someone with the surname, a shirt or mug with Rousseau on it becomes a conversation starter and a small badge of family pride. If the gift is for someone who loves the place or the painter, the design can lean into that. Either way, the second line is where the gift becomes theirs: a year, a family branch, a hometown or a short phrase they'd laugh at. Hoodies suit cooler months and a mug works well for the person who starts every morning at the same table.
