About this santa monica gift
Santa Monica people tend to be outdoorsy, whether that means early runs along the beach path, Sunday mornings at the farmers market, or evenings watching the sunset over the pier. Plenty of them grew up here, and plenty more moved in for the ocean and never left. A shirt with the city name is how they claim the place, and it's a gift that fits almost every version of this person: the lifelong local, the transplant who misses the coast, the college kid who just got their first apartment near Ocean Park. Add a neighborhood, a zip code or the year they moved in on the second line and it stops being a souvenir and becomes their story. A hoodie works for the cool Pacific mornings, and a mug works for the coffee they drink while planning the next day at the beach.
