About this savoonga gift
Savoonga is a small community on St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea, and the people who belong to it carry that place with them wherever they go. A shirt with the village name is a way to say where you're from, whether that's to a relative who moved to Anchorage, a friend who left for school, or someone who simply loves the island and its people. Because the village is small and far from most of the country, a Savoonga design tends to start real conversations, and the people who wear one usually have a story about the island ready to share. For a gift, think about who in your life has a tie to the village and what that connection means to them. A hoodie suits someone who's been away for a while and misses the cold wind. A mug works well for a kitchen table where family gathers. Kids' designs and baby onesies let families carry the name into the next generation from the very start.
