About this scappoose gift
Scappoose is a small city in Columbia County, Oregon, tucked along the Columbia River northwest of Portland. People who grew up there, or who came back after school or a job somewhere else, tend to hold on to the place hard, and a shirt with the name on it is an easy way to say so. It's the kind of town where most people know each other or each other's families, so a local tee at a fair, a game or a family gathering starts conversations. For someone who moved away, a mug with Scappoose on it is a small daily reminder of home. Pick a light or dark tee depending on what they wear, add a second line with the year they graduated or the street they grew up on, and the gift becomes theirs rather than a generic souvenir.
