About this shanghai gift
Shanghai is one of those cities people leave in their twenties and keep returning to in their heads for the rest of their lives. Someone who lived there, studied there or spent a few years working along the Bund probably still has opinions about the best xiaolongbao and the right way to cross a busy street. A Shanghai shirt is an easy way to say I was there and it mattered. Shanghai has a lot of neighborhoods with their own character, from the old lanes of Xintiandi to the newer skyline of Pudong, so a second line naming the district they knew best can make the design feel like theirs rather than a souvenir. A hoodie suits someone who misses the cool damp of a Shanghai winter, and a mug is the daily nudge for the expat who wants a little of the city on the desk. For a gift that's personal without being a guess, put the word Shanghai on a tee and add the neighborhood or the years they lived there.
All shanghai gifts →- A tee with their neighborhoodAdd the district they knew best on the second line, so the shirt points to their own corner of the city.
- A mug for the deskAn 11 oz Shanghai mug makes a good daily reminder for someone who has moved on but still thinks about the city.
- A hoodie for the homesickA hoodie with Shanghai and the years they lived there works well for a friend who misses the city's seasons.
- A kids tee for a family that lived thereIf the family spent time in Shanghai, a kids tee lets the children carry a piece of that chapter with them.
