About this shortsville gift
Shortsville is a small village in western New York, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto the name long after they've moved on. A shirt that says Shortsville is how someone shows where they're from to a crowd that has never heard of it, and how they start a conversation with the one other person in the room who has. For a former resident living far away, a mug or a tee with the village name is a small, specific reminder of home. For someone who still lives there, a hoodie for the cold months says the town is theirs. Because the place is small, the details that matter are personal ones: the high school class they graduated from, the year they left, the street they grew up on. Type any of those into the second line and the shirt becomes about their Shortsville rather than just the village name.
