About this smethport gift
Smethport is a small borough in McKean County in northwestern Pennsylvania, a town of a few thousand people in the Allegheny Highlands. People from places this size often feel a strong pull toward home, whether they still live there, moved for work, or came back after years away. A shirt with the town name is a way to claim it, the kind of thing worn to a hometown football game, a family reunion, or a summer trip back through the hills. Because the town is small, a gift that names it tends to mean more than a generic one would, and the person who receives it will likely know exactly where it comes from. Pair the town name with a second line such as a graduation year, a street or a family name, and the design becomes personal rather than just a place marker.
