About this tekamah gift
Tekamah is a small town in Burt County, Nebraska, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with Tekamah on it is how someone who moved away to Omaha, Lincoln or farther still tells the room where they're from, and it's how the people who stayed show they're proud of the place. Small towns run on high school games, county fairs, church suppers and everybody knowing everybody's business, so a gift that names the town tends to land best when it also nods to one of those things. Think about who's getting it: a longtime resident, a recent graduate heading off to college, or a relative who still calls every Sunday. A mug suits the homesick one, a hoodie suits the graduate heading into a cold winter, and a kids tee lets a family start wearing the name young. Add a second line with a year or a family name to make it theirs.
