About this toughkenamon gift
Toughkenamon is a small unincorporated village in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. Many of them left for work or school and came back for holidays, family reunions and the old neighborhood. A shirt with the village name is a way to say where you're from without the explanation, and it's the kind of gift that gets worn to the grocery store on a Saturday, not saved for special occasions. Because it's a small place, the name itself will spark conversation: someone will ask where that is, and the person wearing it gets to tell the story. For someone who moved away, a mug with Toughkenamon on it puts home on the kitchen counter every morning. You can add a second line with a graduation year, a street, or the year they moved, so the gift is about their own history there and not just the place name.
