About this yreka gift
Yreka is a small city in Siskiyou County, in far northern California, close to the Oregon line and the Klamath Mountains. People who grew up there tend to carry the name with them, and a shirt that says Yreka is a quiet way of saying where you're from. The place is far enough from the big cities that a local tee or mug often feels more personal than a souvenir. A shirt works well for a relative who moved away, a friend who still gets back for holidays, or someone who has been out exploring the region and wants to remember it. Put a second line underneath with a year, a street, or the name of their school or neighborhood, and the design starts to mean something only they and their people will recognize. For a hoodie, the cooler months suit the northern California climate. A mug is a good choice for the one who still wakes up thinking about home.
