About this art manager gift
Art managers keep the gallery or museum running while everyone else gets the credit for the shows. They juggle loan paperwork, install schedules, donor events and artists who have opinions about where their work hangs, often in the same afternoon. The gifts they keep tend to acknowledge that quiet, behind-the-scenes work. A soft tee for the long opening nights, a hoodie for the chilly gallery at six in the morning, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the desk that never seems to stay clean. Put their title on it, or the institution's name if they're happy to show it, and a plain shirt becomes something they'll actually wear. If you're shopping for a whole team, one design with each person's name in the Team Shop makes a better thank-you than a generic card.
