About this ceramist gift
A ceramist spends long days with wet clay on their hands, kiln schedules to keep, and a studio that smells like slip and dust. The gifts they tend to keep are the ones that fit that life: a soft tee for wedging clay in, a hoodie for the chilly studio in the early morning, and a mug they'll actually drink from while the glaze dries. A ceramist's own work is often on their mind, so a mug that says ceramist feels like it was made for them, and it's the kind of gift a potter might serve their own coffee in. Add a second line for their studio name, their medium such as stoneware or porcelain, or the year they started throwing, and the shirt becomes specific to them rather than generic. Many ceramists work alone, so a gift that acknowledges the craft by name lands well, especially when it comes from someone who has noticed how much time they spend at the wheel.
All ceramist gifts →- A tee for the studioAdd their studio name or the medium they work in, such as stoneware, so it reads as theirs.
- A mug for the morning throwAn 11 oz mug with ceramist on it is a fitting thing to drink from while the next batch dries.
- A hoodie for the cold studioMany potters work in unheated garages or basements in winter, and a hoodie is the layer they reach for first.
- A shirt for a kid who's into clayIf a young potter is in your life, the kids tee comes in a few designs that work for a budding ceramist.
