About this steersman gift
A steersman is the person who keeps a boat on course, usually from the stern, reading wind, current and the crew's rhythm at the same time. It's a quieter job than the captain's, and the people who do it tend to notice when a boat handles well, even if nobody else does. A gift that acknowledges that skill lands better than a generic sailing joke. Think about where they spend their time: on the water at dawn, on a dock during a regatta, or in the galley after a long day on the helm. A soft tee for the deck, a hoodie for the cold start of a sail, or an 11 oz mug for the cabby coffee before the tide turns will each feel like it was picked for them. Put steersman on the front and a boat name, a club or the year they started on the second line, and it becomes their own story rather than a catalog item.
All steersman gifts →- A tee with their boat nameUse the second line for the name of the boat or crew they steer for, so it reads as theirs on the dock.
- A hoodie for cold morningsSteersmen often wait out chilly starts at the tiller, and a hoodie with their title is something they'll reach for every time.
- A mug for the galleyAn 11 oz mug with steersman on it is a small daily reminder that they're the one holding the course.
- Matching shirts for the crewUse the Team Shop to put every crew member's name on one design, with each person picking their own size.
