About this activities director gift
An activities director is the person who makes a care community feel like a community. They run the bingo and the bus trips, wrangle the craft supplies, set up the chairs for live music, and somehow remember that Mr. Alvarez only comes down if there's a card game. It's a job with a lot of lugging, a lot of laminating and a lot of heart, and most of it happens on their feet. The gifts that land are comfortable and a little funny, something they'll actually wear while hauling a cart of balloons down the hall. Put their title on a tee, or add the name of the building or the residents' nickname for the crew. For a mug, a name on it keeps it out of the staff lounge shuffle. National Activity Professionals Week is the last full week of January, a natural moment to say thanks. If you're buying for a whole activities team, the Team Shop prints one design with each person's name.
