About this sauquoit gift
Sauquoit is a small village in Oneida County, New York, set along Sauquoit Creek in the foothills of the Mohawk Valley. People who grew up there often carry the name with them long after they've moved on, and a Sauquoit shirt is a quick way to say where you're from without a long explanation. It's the kind of place where everybody seems to know somebody, so a gift that names the village tends to get noticed at reunions, school events and holiday visits back home. For someone who left for college or a job in a bigger city, a Sauquoit mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder of home. You can make the gift theirs by adding a second line with the year they graduated, a street name, or the name of the school they went to, so it reads as personal rather than generic.
