About this elmendorf afb gift
Elmendorf Air Force Base sits just outside Anchorage, Alaska, and the people who live and serve there have a particular kind of pride. Many are stationed there for a few years and then move on, so a shirt with the base name is how they carry it with them. Airmen and their families often describe Alaska winters and the Chugach mountains as the thing they miss most after a move. A hoodie is the practical choice for those cold mornings on the flight line or the first snow of the season, while a dark tee suits the weekend hike or the base gathering. For a spouse or child who's new to the area, a kids tee or baby onesie with Elmendorf AFB printed on it is a warm way to mark the move. Add a unit, squadron or the year of their assignment on the second line to make it theirs, rather than a generic base shirt.
