About this african penguin gift
People who love African penguins tend to really love them. They're the black-and-white birds with the pink patches above the eyes and a call that sounds so much like a donkey's bray that they were once nicknamed jackass penguins. They live along the coast of southern Africa, they're endangered, and a lot of fans first met one at a zoo or aquarium and never got over it. That makes this an easy word to shop for, because the person you're buying for already has a favorite way to talk about them. A tee or hoodie with African Penguin printed across the front says it without a speech. You can add a second line with a name, a zoo trip year or a nickname, which turns a general animal shirt into theirs. Kids who've decided penguins are their whole personality get a kids tee, and a new baby in the family can have a onesie. A mug covers the desk or the kitchen.
