About this dependency director gift
A dependency director usually sits between the people who pay for a service and the people who deliver it, which means the work is mostly coordinating: making sure a dependency gets tracked, that a handoff doesn't stall, and that the one-line status everyone needs actually gets sent. It's a job that gets noticed mainly when it goes wrong, so a gift that says the title out loud feels good to receive. A tee or hoodie with the words dependency director on it is a little joke among the teams they work with, and a mug is the one they'll reach for during the Monday planning meeting. To make it theirs, add their name or the team they lead on the second line, or add a year if they just got promoted into the role. Most of the designs in this category are simple and text-based, so the wording on the shirt does most of the talking.
