About this oxon hill gift
Oxon Hill is a community in Prince George's County, Maryland, just south of the District line, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. The place is mostly suburban, with a mix of families, long commutes into DC and the kind of local loyalty that shows up at high school reunions and neighborhood cookouts. A shirt with Oxon Hill on it is a way to claim that corner of the Washington area, whether the wearer still lives there or moved across the country years ago. Because it's a specific place rather than a famous city, the second line matters: a street, a high school class year, or the word Maryland can make it personal. For a transplant, a mug with the name is a small reminder of home every morning. A hoodie suits someone who still goes back for the holidays or is starting college nearby.
