About this round pond gift
Round Pond is a small place, and the people who grew up there tend to know exactly which pond, road and general store the name refers to. A shirt with Round Pond on it is how someone who moved away says where they're from, and how someone who stayed says the same thing with more confidence. Because it's a small name, a shirt or mug often starts a conversation: someone asks where it is, and the answer becomes the story. For a gift, think about who left and who stayed, and what they'd recognize at a glance. A hoodie suits the person who needs it for cold mornings and long drives, and a mug fits the kitchen where they catch up on the news from home. Use the second line for a year, a family name or a street if that's what makes the shirt theirs.
