About this archaeologist gift
Archaeologists spend their working lives on their knees in a trench, brushing dirt off something nobody has touched in centuries, then spend the winter writing it all up. Their gifts should match that mix of sunburn and paperwork. A tee is the obvious pick for field season, since it'll end up covered in dust either way, and a hoodie handles the cold mornings at a dig site and the long evenings in a lab or archive. A mug is the quiet winner for anyone who lives on coffee and keeps a cabinet of them at the office. What makes a gift land is the specifics: the site they've returned to for years, their specialty, the year they finished the degree. Type any of those into the second line and the preview shows it right away. If you're buying for a crew, the Team Shop lets you print one design with each person's name, which beats a group photo no one ever finds again.
All archaeologist gifts →- A field season teeAdd the name of the site or the year of the dig on the second line. It's a shirt they'll wear until it's more dirt-colored than its original color, which is the point.
- A hoodie for the lab and the trenchPut their name or specialty on a hoodie for early mornings on site and late nights writing reports. It works for a new grad finishing the degree, too.
- A mug for the office shelfAn 11 oz mug with their name or a line about their research suits the person who already owns too many mugs and still wants one more.
- Matching shirts for the whole crewPick one design in the Team Shop and paste the crew's names. Each person gets their own name and size, a good end-of-season gift from the project director.
