About this cushing island gift
Cushing Island is a small island in Casco Bay, off Portland, Maine, reached by a short ferry ride or a private boat. It's the kind of place people return to every summer, with the same cottages, the same sandy stretch and the same friends they only see at the island. A shirt with Cushing Island on it is how someone carries that place with them through the rest of the year. Whether they're a year-round islander, a summer family or a former camper who still talks about the trip, a design with the island name lands because it names a specific, personal place rather than a generic beach town. Add the summer they first came, or the cottage or dock they always stay at, and it becomes theirs. Hoodies make sense for the cool evenings on the water, and mugs suit the morning coffee they'd otherwise drink while thinking about the island.
