About this essex gift
Essex can mean a few different things depending on who you ask: the English county with its coastline and market towns, the Essex in Massachusetts that's known for its shipbuilding and fishing history, or the Connecticut town of the same name along the river. Whichever one they're connected to, a shirt or mug with Essex on it is a way of claiming that place. A dark tee is a good pick for someone who spends most of their time outdoors, and a hoodie suits anyone who's been away and misses the weather there. Kids tees and baby onesies let a family pass the name down to the next generation. If you're not sure which Essex they mean, check first, because the people from each place are usually quick to tell you. A second line for a town, a street or the year they moved would make the shirt theirs.
