About this hurt gift
Hurt is a small town in Virginia, and the people from there tend to be proud of it in a quiet way. Anyone who grew up in Hurt knows the town is more than its name, and a shirt that says Hurt is the kind of thing they'll wear to the county fair, a homecoming, or a family reunion where somebody always asks where you're from. Because the place is small, a gift with the town name on it reads as a deliberate choice rather than a souvenir. For someone who moved away, a mug with Hurt on it is a daily reminder of where they started. For someone still there, a hoodie for the cold months does the job. You can add a second line with a street, a year, or a family name to make the piece personal to them.
