About this metairie gift
Metairie is a big unincorporated community just west of New Orleans, and plenty of people who grew up there still call it home long after they've moved on. A Metairie shirt is how they claim it, whether that's for a game-day gathering, a visit back to see family, or the old neighborhood they still talk about. Many people from Metairie went to the surrounding schools, so a hoodie with their school and graduation year can read as the local pride it is, and a mug with Metairie on it suits the transplant who misses the Louisiana mornings. If you're shopping for someone who grew up there, it helps to add a second line that makes the shirt theirs, such as the street they lived on, their high school class, or the year they left. Those details are what turn a city name into a gift they'll actually wear.
All metairie gifts →- A tee with their own street or neighborhoodPut the part of Metairie they really knew on the second line, so the shirt reads as their own corner of the city.
- A graduation hoodieFor someone finishing school in the area, add the year they graduated and wear it through the cold months.
- A mug for the one who moved awayAn 11 oz Metairie mug is an easy daily reminder for the transplant who misses home.
- A kids tee for a future Metairie kidIf the family is raising children there, a kids tee lets the little one wear the family's pride too.
