About this mobeetie gift
Mobeetie is a small town in Wheeler County in the Texas Panhandle, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how someone who's left for college, a job or a bigger city keeps a little of that open-sky Panhandle home on their sleeve. It's the kind of gift that says you know where they're from, even if the town doesn't show up on most maps. For the person who still goes back for homecoming, a family funeral or a Sunday dinner, a hoodie is practical for the cold West Texas wind. For someone who works from a kitchen table far away, a mug with the name on it is a small daily reminder. Add a year, a graduating class or a family name in the second line and the shirt becomes about them specifically, not just the place.
