About this newt gift
A newt is a small amphibian with rough skin, and many species carry a toxin, so they are not something you pick up casually. The people who love newts tend to be the ones who spend a rainy evening crouched by a pond or leaning over a terrarium, watching for movement. They tend to be curious, patient, and quietly thrilled by animals most people overlook. A newt shirt is a good way to say that. Put the word on the front, then use the second line for a detail that belongs to them, like the species they keep or the pond they visit. A hoodie suits the chilly mornings spent outside looking for eggs, and a mug fits the desk of someone who keeps notes on their observations. Because newts are small and surprising, a shirt with one on it often starts a conversation, which is part of the fun.
