About this olivette gift
Olivette is a small city in St. Louis County, Missouri, a suburb with its own identity rather than a neighborhood of the big city next door. The people who live there tend to be proud of that, and a Olivette shirt is how they say so at a school event, a block party or a game night. Because the town is small and local, most of the people who wear the name have a particular connection to it: they grew up there, raised kids there, or ended up there for a job and stayed. A gift that names the town is a gift about where someone belongs. For someone who moved away, a mug or hoodie carries that hometown pride into a new city. For a family, matching kids tees or a baby onesie can mark a new arrival in the place they call home. Wear it on the street where they grew up and it lands.
