About this rake gift
Rake is a small city, and people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it in a way that shows up in their closets and kitchens. A Rake shirt is a way to claim the place: for a homecoming weekend, a family visit, or just the pride of wearing your hometown on your chest where people from elsewhere will ask about it. Because the word is short and specific, it reads well in a big block font, and the second line gives room for something that makes the shirt theirs, like a street, a school class year or a family name. For someone who has moved away, a Rake mug is a daily reminder of where they're from. For a newborn, a Rake onesie is an easy way to start a family's story on the place they'll call home.
