About this slatyfork gift
Slatyfork is a small place, and that's the whole appeal. People who grew up in a town like this often moved away for work or school and carry the name with them, the way you'd carry a family recipe. A shirt with Slatyfork on it is how they say where they're from when the conversation turns to hometowns. It also suits the visitor who fell for the place on a weekend trip and wants a reminder of the drive in, or the relative who still lives there and keeps the local pride going. Small towns tend to have strong ties to their own people, so a design that puts the town name front and center reads as belonging rather than tourism. For the person who's left, a Slatyfork mug on a desk in another state does the job of a phone call. The town is small enough that a gift like this will get noticed, and that's the kind of recognition a hometown gift should bring.
