About this west springfield gift
West Springfield is a town of its own in Hampden County, just across the Connecticut River from Springfield proper, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto that. A West Springfield shirt is how a graduate, a longtime resident or someone who moved away says where they're from, whether that's at a high school game, a family reunion or a hometown reunion in another state. Many people who left still follow local news and cheer for the same high school teams they cheered for as kids, so a hoodie or tee with the town name is a gift that lands with the person who misses home. If your recipient has a second line of meaning, like a high school class year or a street name, type it under the town name and the preview will show you how it sits. Parents of newborns sometimes pick a town onesie for a baby born there, and a mug suits the grandparent who still calls it home. Check the preview before you order so the spacing looks right to you.
