About this petersen gift
Petersen is a Danish and Norwegian name that turned up in a lot of American families, from the Midwest farm towns to the Pacific Northwest, so chances are the people you're shopping for already know what a family name on a shirt is for. A Petersen shirt is how the family finds each other at a reunion, a wedding or a holiday table where half the room is somehow related. Add the reunion year, the town where the branch started, or the first names of the grandparents, and it stops being a generic family tee and becomes a record of who belongs. For the newest Petersen, a baby onesie with the name is the first thing they'll wear that says whose they are. A mug suits the grandparents' kitchen, where the family ends up gathering anyway. If you're organizing a group order, the Team Shop lets you pick one design and paste each person's name, so every shirt prints with its own name and nobody has to chase down sizes by text.
